Anecdotal Notes
This internegative stock is a modified polyester version of 7203 50D camera stock, devised by Kodak to simplify their stock production. Some individuals and labs had already at this point occasionally or exclusively printed internegatives from reversal onto 7203, preferring it to 7272/3272. The extremely fast speed of 3273 (50) meant that it had to be printed in absolute darkness. This caused fogging problems at some labs when it was introduced, and at least a couple of labs decided to stop offering 16mm color internegative production services as a result, due to the difficulty or inability of achieving absolute darkness in their printing rooms. One lab continued to print internegatives on this stock, but only from single-strand positive sources, because they were getting fogged only during the rewinding of the internegative stock between passes in the printing of reversal/positive A/B rolls.
